good review....Great movie. Although much of the subject matter is depressing, the film is not. That review did not mention Phillip Glass' musical score, which I thought was as big of a performance as any of the actors. It gave the film a surreal atmosphere.. But then, I really like Phillip Glass. A couple of years ago, I saw him and his orchestra supply the live music for a showing of Jean Cocteau's silent film version of Beauty and the Beast. It was spectacular.
