Just out of curiosity, could you tell me how you think a website last updated in 1998 is talking about Masood's defeat and the Alliance being under the leadership of Dostum? Meanwhile, Afghan-Info says Masood founded Northern Alliance in late-1999: afghan-info.com To the extent that there was cooperation between the various rebel groups, it was very young and very little. The arrival of the US into the picture changed the face of the whole resistance - as I said before, the US pulled them together, supported them big time, and told them how and where to fight.
