You have fallen into an interesting place. The left is very wary of who they travel with given what happened with the communists in the 40s and 50s. Many necons cut there political teeth as leftists back then, seemingly naive about the soviet/communist threat. That is the real reason they are so aggressive now. Little to do about Hitler/chamberlain, much to do about Stalin and being fooled. Sub saddam for stalin and you can see how they get to this place whether you agree or not. Mike
