John, The FBI needs to be in the Mosques and at meetings checking out Muslims to find Al Qaeda operatives and cells. Bill, we are talking about folk gathering for peaceful demonstrations. To have the FBI/CIA, as the poster said, taking names and photos is objectionable, at best. It is Hoover. No less. As for the FBI searching Mosques for terrorists, that's a different subject about which we apparently disagree as well. But, let's stick, for the moment, at least, to the issue of building files on folk who participate in peaceful demonstrations. I submit that's against the American tradition of dissent. And, Hoover's failure to understand that, is one of the reason we remember him the way we do.
