The point I have stressed is that society has the right to legitimize the decisions (allowing them to be legal or illegal) of its members. That is what legitimization is for. And I have made the point that the government doesn't legitimize anything. It only delegitimizes. With no government, everything is legal, everything is legitimate. Government can't create legitimacy -- that exists before government comes into being, and will exist after the government ceases to exist. Government can only create illegitimacy.
