You still have not provided any philosophical justification for your view of government.

That is not true. I have laid out the a justification based on membership in humanity. You have skirted that to make a claim for individual rights with no obligation or recognition for others that as a whole make up humanity. In the midst of that you address the notion of a Government who can assist you as an individual but should assume no regard on your part for the rest of humanity.

I have considered your view from all sides. Your individual right to choose...should not be an issue for government. You have considered humanity as a factor at all in the discussion.

"Not a strawman at all, but your refusal to accept the logical consequences of the position you are asserting."

I have no idea why you say that. I accept completely the logical consequences of my position. If I choose to enter a life of hermatage, I may be doing so knowing that I have unfulfilled obligations that the government will hold me accountable for. The government may determine my decision to be an illegal one based on any number of statutes "child abandonment, abuse, or neglect...etc, etc, etc. Tax evasion. etc etc etc... If I choose to become a hermit, I accept that I may be doing something illegal. I don't stand in the midst of humanity and argue that I should be able to go live on an Island and separate my self from society regardless of what other people's claims on me are. I just do it and reject the authority of the legal system. The same with suicide. I may fail in my hermatage and get drug in for trial and punishment. I may have to answer for my decision to opt out by suicide as well. Bad decisions that don't work out and cause society to bare the brunt of the decision usually (and rightfully so) come back on the decision maker. I accept all of that. You don't.
