Re: refers to our actions in Vietnam as "attacking" the country. 99% of the time, it is referred to as "defending" the country.

That's an indication that you read too much U.S. press propaganda. This was a Toronto Star journalist. I'd say she's typical of informed journalism everywhere except the land of exceptionalism, the lie-fest called the United States of Amnesia.
