I'm glad your friend got some relief. I don't understand it either. I think, like prohibition. it doesn't actually make much sense, unless you accept the moral crusade behind it. Logically, it causes more problems having it illegal- unless you accept that people using marijuana is immoral and wrong, and then anyone using it becomes a problem and the scales are obviously tipped in favor of making it criminal. I don't accept that it is any more wrong than alcohol; and like alcohol, it has health benefits to offer us, as well as just being a pleasurable social drug that has the potential to be abused- as all drugs legal or illegal do.
