You should ask why the bombing occurred. And no it isn't oil. After all, we have troops in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar and we haven't "taken" their oil whatever that term is supposed to mean.

I'm not at all gullible re. the US press which is frequently critical and slanted against the Bush administration. I was just listening to a broadcast on NPR on the way home - very slanted coverage.

Personally I think this is just arrogance talking. If you are so well informed why did you think the US created the Northern Alliance after 9/11?

I am all but nauseous of repeating the same thing for the umpteenth time, but: What exactly has he done recently that warranted the preparations for an invasion of his country?

Recently? The same thing he's been doing for years. We should have prepared to unseat him by force in 1999 after he refused to allow weapons inspectors to continue their work.
