What do you think the career politicians in North America are all about? Is our corruption less? The politicians are owned by the lobbyists, and gather power using pork barrel politics. The masses no longer matter, and that is reflected in voter turnout.

I cannot say you are wrong about the corruption and cronyism,But at the UN europe has alot more seats than the US.g
