I have watched my nation descend from the generosity of the Marshall Plan to a steady effort toward world domination. It sickens me.

Hmmm... I guess the Iraqis aren't worthy enough for another Marshall Plan in Wesley's opinion..

And I wonder why the US, which commanded 50% of the world's GDP in 1945, couldn't have been considered more dominant THEN, than the present time, in which we command something like 33% or so of Global GDP??

who for a fleeting moment can be king of the hill, keeping most of the world's goodies for itself,

I guess he forgot that we've BEEN king of the hill for 50 years (at least economically).. And we've spent a good portion of that time trying to decrease our percentage of the global GDP, as well as empowering other nations to become democractic governments.

Mr. Sheffield should remind himself just how few actual democracies exists at the close (or even before) WWII, and how many exist now.

That hardly reinforces his twisted view..
