We probably do not agree completely on the disparities but we both agree they exist we might only argue as to the extent.

The causes are many. Direct racism is probably still one but it is a minor one. Another is poor schools in the inner cities with no chance for the poor people who live there to get there kids out of these bad schools. Another reason would be a greater amount of social problems such as single parent households and drug use. Another is a lack of positive roll models in some of these neighborhoods, they exist but they are not as common. Those who do better themselves at a legitimate trade, black or white, usually leave these neighborhoods. There are other reasons but an exhaustive list is probably impossible.
