Precisely. We are on the same page. I'd just add that it's the willingness to make the opponents of a just civilisation die, rather than the exponents. My father risked my life to take on and defeat Rommel and Hitler. I am very glad it was the opposition who died for their visions of a Jew-free Third Reich, rather than my father and me for our vision of a United States of Freedom.

I'd also add that it's free exchange of value which creates the value, not democracy - which all too often is just another form of thievery. Whether wealth is stolen by a dictator or the mob is irrelevant to the person robbed.
