Even Colin Powell is taking the hard line. The Administration is prepared to back up its contentions.......

>>All neocons should take a vacation until 1/27.<<

I watched most of Rumsfeld's press conference today. It was clear from the demeanor and tone of the questions from the press that they all expect the US to attack Iraq sooner or later, and of course he's got to keep saying that no decision has been made, so they kept asking questions trying to pin him down about what would it take to make us decide.

One of the things Rumsfeld said was that if the President did decide to attack Iraq, he (Rumsfeld) assumed that before he (Bush) did that, Bush would share with the public the facts which US intelligence, British intelligence, and he (Rumsfeld) are aware of with respect to Iraqi involvement in anti-US terrorism, and WMD.

Which means, of course, that we aren't going to know all the facts until and unless we're going in.

So there's no point obsessing.

Personally, I wouldn't expect anything much until the rest of the carriers get there. The USS Theodore Roosevelt will get there in a little under three weeks, the USS Abraham Lincoln is in Australia so I am guessing that's more than a week. Give yourself another week or two before you start obsessing again.

On the other hand, dark of the moon is February 1.
