In a rare shining moment, Canada actually voted against Libya. Putting Libya in the position is a message to the US - our institutional goals take precedence over your national goals.

Didn't realize that!! ">>> All the europeans abstained...."<<< What possible trumped reason could they give for that? Libya even being nominated for that position is ludicrous.....Talk about a sign of decadence....and of no value.. "Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire" come to mind also.

Libya heading the UN human rights committee is more evidence of an organization in trouble. Can you believe that that all the europeans abstained.
