0927 [Dow Jones] Shares in gold miners to rise further after spot gold rises US$2.25 to US$361.75/oz overnight from late Asia yesterday, pushed by two compelling factors: weak U.S. dollar, heightening geopolitical tensions. Leading stocks Newcrest (NCM), Lihir (LHG), Sons of Gwalia (SGW) to extend gains as will 2nd-tier issues, such as recent market favorites Kingsgate Consolidated (KCN), Oxiana Resources (OXR), both likely to post fresh all-time highs. Interestingly, many gold shares haven't returned to the high levels seen in mid-2002, despite spot bullion being much higher. (RCB)
