Yes I know that. My point was not whether it should be or shouldn't be. It was that the nature of arguing that took place that was a far cry from the reality of the thing being argued for. The arguers knew that but promoted the argument anyway. I thought you might have some insight on that as a strategy. Maybe you think it is a good thing when you are arguing for something you want. If so you still might be able to shed some light on it.
