Not exactly. I don't think assisted suicide should be illegal any more than suicide should, but your wording suggests an entitlement to have assistance provided for you and I don't accept that. Perhaps that's not what you intended.

The state shouldn't outlaw Kevorkian, IMO, but neither should he or someone like him be made available as a public service or as an obligation of medical professionals or in any other way. If someone wants assistance they can find a friend or a medical professional who is willing to help. My only interest is that the helper not be treated as a criminal when IMO he is doing a good deed.
