I owned Gold fields when they were trading at 3 1/2$, but right now at 14%$ they seem anything but cheap to me. Same is true for most other gold stocks i have been watching (Harmony etc.)

After watching the behavior of gold and shares for years, I've never been able to see a 'value' case for it. It's a very emotionally driven market. A skilled trader may be able to take money from less skilled traders based on playing technical signals and price action, but developing a reliable, fundamentally based forecast seems as unlikely as predicting the behavior of a band of lunatics.
