I will never forget '68. I guess, as Robin Williams would say, that is because I was not part of it. Other than the assassinations, what sticks in my mind was the kids getting sent home from High School for long hair, the music, and my brother in law in San Francisco showing up at my house as "Jeff Spicoli." And trying pot because of him. Did not like it as much as booze, unfortunately.

Interesting. My wife and I were in grad school in Chicago, completing dissertations in 68, first child born in March of 68. You will, of course, remember the Dem convention in Chicago in 68; also the Russians invasion of Checkoslavakia (sp); and the deaths. I had many friends involved in the Chicago demonstrations.
