How about setting up a Regional UN department in Iraq and using oil for UN reconstitution and development? That would also be in Iraq's interests, not to mention the surrounding countries. It's in Iraq's interests to have the surroundings stabilized too. < Powell announced that the use would hold and use the Iraqi oil fields "in trust" for the Iraqi people, and this is what I always expected. >

We don't want to have to relitigate all this stuff every decade or three for the next 1000 years as the sun rises and sets on the Arabian Nights.

Let's sort it out once and for all [or at least for a good while].
