Have you considered raising your deductibles to lower the premium?

So far no luck finding a plan to do that. I guess some states are more restrictive than others - the highest deductible I could get on a group plan was $500. I would gladly take a 5 or 10K deductible if I could get it.

What is interesting is that now that she has to pay more, she gets sick less and when she gets sick she doesn't feel like she is sick enough to go to the doctor.

If employers started reducing health benefits by raising deductibles, you would see the number of office visits start to drop drastically.

People would be better off anyway without all those prescriptions.
