If you were a conspiratorialist, which I am not, you would probably find something in the following:

Headlines at CBS Marketwatch this morning

"Texas, Nokia bolster bulls"
cbs.marketwatch.com

While in fact the futures for Nokia are up only .26, while the futures for the unmentioned Qualcomm is up 2.21.

Who is actually bolstering the bulls?

I think it is the expected win by the Tampa Bay Bucanneers, a NFC team, which historically bodes well for the stock market.

Bob

Wireless Infrastructure Spending Surge Ahead

story.news.yahoo.com

Interesting article including the following paragraph that's worth a read. Following paragraph especially interesting.

"The rationale behind 3G networks is to gain spectrum efficiency, ease capacity constraints and expand revenue through data services, and that remains intact, Bakhshi said. At the same time, voice remains the killer app, especially in developing countries, such as India and China, with demand for second-generation services expected to explode in the next four or five years among huge populations that are currently underserved.
