agreed. i think it is mentioned in that article. the media, (and general perception) holds that the uncertainty of the war has a lid on the market. Unlike 1991, the fundamentals are worse than they were then. so even if the war uncertainty is removed, the bear will continue after a brief interruption.

as these "dead cat bounces" occur in equities, they would be good buying opportunities on the gold side.

i was looking at charts of gold mining companies and then compare them to China companies. it seems to me that China stocks are in the same position as gold was at the start of 2001. of course, one needs to know WHICH stocks will be the winners.
