Market has peaked...Global ISP rally
Traders scouring the market for undiscovered ISP stocks following a momentum rally that has yielded triple-digit gains in Asian Internet portals NTES, PCNTF, SOHU and SIFY. One of the top Nasdaq percentage gainers in today's action is Israeli ISP Internet Gold (IGLD +31%). Today, stock is making a new 52-wk high on almost 13x normal volume. Issue has risen 184% since we mentioned it in a Jan 3 comment. Pacific Internet (PCNTF), which we didn't mention at the time because of its extreme lack of liquidity (avg volume at the time was about 2,000 shares per day) has risen 133% over the same period and today has traded volume of 309,000 shares. Traders now beginning to show an interest in Hungarian ISP EuroWeb (EWEB 2.95 +0.60, +25%), which is flirting with a new 52-wk high today on volume of 107,000 shares (or 24x avg daily volume). This company offers Internet service in Romania, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
