TECHNOLOGY ALERT from The Wall Street Journal January 22, 2003 Nokia Corp. said its fourth-quarter net profit more than doubled but warned that sales in the current quarter could be lower than a year earlier. The Finnish mobile-handset maker said its profit rose to EUR1.04 billion ($1.10 billion), or 22 European cents a share, compared with EUR450 million, or nine European cents a share, in the year-earlier period.
