oh he used the words over and over and over it looked like it was going to become his new tag line has Evile used the "K" word? I think he needs to do that in order to step over the line. That, or be vulgar about it- and he generally isn't. Evile is very careful. But I agree with you that it would be nice to get him gone. Lying about gay people is ok, btw- just check out this thread today (especially the interesting gay/nazi connection), or any other thread where gay people have been discussed. You just can't use epithets AND be vulgar.

You nailed it. Except JLA used the term a few times over the course of a few days, any of which could have been commented on or challenged by his accuser. She didn't, opting instead to sneak up on him and secretly convince the unwitting SI admins of his intent, and then hide her involvement while sitting back watching everyone else be accused. Liar. Sneak. Nitwit. X.

You are exactly correct here, Neo. Indeed, if Emile said the things he said to you, he actually violated the TOU in that he level a direct personal attach against you - using innate ethnicity to boot. If SI wished to enforce civilization here, then surely Emile gave them cause to do it. X was just wrong all around, and the gods are just dumb. Gotta ban myself for sure...

I don't find enough integrity to begin to assume this was about "hate" speech. The direction of the speech was to faceless demonstrators who were in part "queer". Small beer and bitter too.

After a couple of e- mails from JLA, it has occurred to me that some of you may not have realized I was being ironic when I said: "Then I find out that X is the public spirited individual who decided that jla had blown it. It is amazing how she suppressed her deep and abiding affection for jla to perform such a public service. I say that X and the Administration should have our kudos for being ever- vigilant against the possibility that one word used contemptuously should linger on the thread for about 12 hours or so, assuming an army of lurkers catching up......... " You may also not have noticed that I was mostly getting caught up on what had happened, with various twists and turns, and that I finally came down on the side that X should have posted to JLA before turning to the Administration. I was not "defending her", I was trying to be fair. If that is out of fashion, and we can only behave in a partisan manner every time such controversies come down the pike, well, I would rather not be on a team........
