Well my interpretation clearly refers to the 1 Thess verse while the fathers speak generally - not in reference to 1 Thess. You must deal with the facts before you and not mix them if you wish respect here, friend. The fathers are highly respected by some Christians, seen as deeply flawed but somewhat worthy men by others. I take the latter view of them because I think their writings bear out that opinion.
