this is a good point.

even if one feels strongly that an epithet has been used, one could easily address a post to "thread" and announce the intention of reporting the perceived infraction.

that would have given jla the opportunity to go to admin with the post in question himself and get their reading on it and make his own case.

If I had done that I would have been perceived as having "threatened" him AND tattled, I'm guessing. I don't see the value added myself. It was likely to be unsatisfactory no matter what.

I understand that boy thing. I don't agree with it, but I understand it.
