Well, it seems to me that we each have our obligation to thread maintenance. I would not wish to single you out, since there are many offenders, but your case is the "hot" one. In the case of SI, there is a sentiment in favor of "fair warning", and people who complain without fair warning are usually considered "snitches". "Snitching" increases distrust and rancor on the threads, and therefore is in itself bad. Since defense against the charge is simple, i.e., make an objection to the offensive person first, and leave "the gods" as a last resort, it is reasonable to require a good faith effort to keep it among us. Still, I think the topic has been exhausted, and you have certainly been in the hot seat long enough. It is SI's fault that the sentence was unreasonable, and you should not have to stand in for it to be beaten for the length of "SI jail".........
