It's how Foreign Affairs are being run, mo, even if it isn't pretty. And it's getting uglier daily. Look at "Grand Chessboard" for a shock, if you don't believe Brzezinski didn't intend to interfere in the agenda of other nations. What we are seing are the techniques that are being justified, and the results. These are the decisions we American citizens have to make in supporting foreign policy, whether to support such covert worldwide aggression, with all of its consequences, or if better forms of action and diplomacy might, just possibly, be an improvement to the current global disaster.
