The "Gotcha" Journalism and extreme Politics today make any other course foolhardy.

We are indeed living in schizophrenic times, journalistically speaking.

On the one hand, every little comment or misstatement, such as Bush saying, "Is our children learning?" is pounced upon and used as evidence of his moron status.

But on the other hand, a statement such as Rumsfeld's saying that a missile hit the Pentagon on 9/11 is virtually ignored.

Ain't that peculiar?
