JC, Forgot about the oil there. Now i remember some actually charged it was about oil. Have they ever drilled offshore? Also remember how the catholic church was involved in the early days, especially in saigon. Cardinal Spelman had great influence on policy as i recall so it was about anti-commyism(unreconstucted rt wing republicans, not neocons more like macarthur), oil(marxist charge), democracy(lib dems), and religion(the pope). OY! What a mix. mike
