Especially to the moral standing of the United States. well that's hard to measure , because most of these other countries really have sat on their collective a$$es most all of the time and only looked after their own interests , and to see if they could get on the "take"? So what is their moral standing compared to ours ? And vice versa. The economic fallout will be much worse after the war. Once 80% of the population of the rest of the world no longer wants to emulate U.S. fashion, music, and consumerism our trade imbalance will become legendary. well that's one scenario , and I would hope Americans could do a little waking up along with this too, but I doubt that your statement is really accurate TP , in reality . But the US will make sure Iraq will be treated more than fairly afterwords, and we will have to spend billions to accomplish this . But we really botched up Serbia Bosnia didn't we ? The one thing these people have never had though , is the chance to be republics of their own , and it's a tuff road for any ,but I think it is worth the risk . Who Knows , Iran Syria and many of the others might like to try it next ! Or you can have charismatic dictators like Kahdafy , Bin Laden , or Saddam that already squandered away 100's and 100's of billions that could have benefited the people thenselves. Sure we had originally bad parts to play in decades past , so what ? It's a tough world out there. It may not have to come to War , but Saddam must go and some form of transparent republic must be created over there , and the people will have their first experiences of democratic rule for once . The rest of them over there just might like what they see created in the place of the present , more than you think. Freedom doesn't come as cheap as the French sell perfumes<G> (a bien tot)
