The chance of anyone in Iraq being grateful for the destruction of their country is remote.

well Saddam has done a pretty fair amount of the destruction over there himself . From dumping oil , burning the Kuwait fields (did you see the french or germans putting those fires out ?) and the destruction of the lower marshlands and large wetlands in his campaigns against the Marsh Arabs .

Listen TP , the entire ME is precariously fixed right now from many vantages , water is being rationed already in so many countries ., populations of Egypt and others are going to crush those gov'ts eventually .

And what technology is going to save them ? What aid and assistance ? So many of these economies are on the precipice.

The Saudi Prince Alaweed "save the Arab world" fund perhaps ? ;-)

The peace demonstrators?

Israel has the technology too, and would share much of it , but they won't stop the bombings or the hatred .
Remember Saddam's $50K reward for any suicide bombers ?
That was such a nice touch ...

"Ingrates make poor workers in the oil fields. Once Chevron takes over they will find the need to import more reliable workers. The Iraqis can look forward to the same benefits from their oil that the native americans receive from the Bureau of Indian Affairs."

You summed it all up in those words TP................BRAVO!

"Ain't it the truth"................Democracy for Iraq..............we haven't even figured it out here for the US!!!
