I'm listening to Senator Kerry speak on foreign policy right now. He is speaking very well. Aside from a few swipes at the Bush administration (e.g. "blustering unilateralism"), he sounds just like Colin Powell. He is stressing the need to democratize the Middle East and accusing the Bush administration of having a strategy for war, but none for peace.

It's an interesting line for Kerry to walk. He's trying to stake out a responsible Democratic foreign policy, but if he attacks Bush's war too vehemently he will surely be reminded that he himself voted for it last August.

Kerry definitely sounds stronger than the other candidates I've heard. If he can get people to like him (he usually seems rather aloof), he has a good shot imo.
