Does Bush really believe that the Kurds will stay the way they've always been for the convenience of Turkey? Or that the Shiites will stay the way they've always been for the convenience of Saudi Arabia? And has he really thought out how Iran identifies with both the Kurds and the Shiites? And, just for fun, kick in a few Al Qaeda alliances, known or unknown, into the stew. Think. The dining isn't gonna happen while the war's going on ... the feeding frenzy's gonna happen afterwards! So what's the plan? Keep the US-British military long-term in the MidEast? Sh*t! (and please do forgive my inelegance, but it's required!), Bush might as well open an Al Qaeda recruiting center, with Hollywood lights, deep in the heart and soul of Baghdad, once he wins that city (which ain't gonna be easy and, if it happens, will likely show the greatest televised bloodshed seen in a long, so very long, time by Western eyes. Consider this. Bush is having a very tough time of it organizing America ... but he's convinced he can go in and clean up the Mid East like a Big Bruiser moving forward on Popeye spinach? Me thinks Bush has watched one too many of the Texas Rangers oldtime tv series from Kennebunkport, Maine. [NOTE: First and second verse reversed--Knocking on Heaven's Door.] "Mama take this badge off of me, I don't need it anymore it's getting dark, to dark to see, feel like I'm knockin' on Heaven's Door. "Mama wipe the blood from my face I'm sick and tired of the war I've got a lone black feeling and it's hard to trace, feel like I'm knockin' on Heaven's Door."
