In addition to saving about $2 million, the loan they've negotiated will give the new AAS/NGT company 100% ownership of Salamandra, which will allow them to make immediate decisions about the future of the deposit. This is very positive IMO.

Also, the special meetings of both companies are scheduled for today (10:00 a.m. Vancouver time I think), and I presume the merger will be approved. So within a few weeks the new AAS should be trading.
