this was pm'd to me...because i have had issues with a particular person who apologises at the drop of a hat and then does the same thing over and over again.

I'm gonna post it on the fav quotes thread.

BTW, I totally agree with you, except, let's reword it to

"apologies are meaningful only if followed by a correction in behaviour"

And Poet, please, this has nothing to do with you or with X. The quote seemed to ring a bell...
