UTStarcom Inc. (UTSI) fell $3.18, or 14 percent, to $19.65. The cordless telephone-system supplier earned 30 cents a share in the fourth quarter. It was expected to earn 31 cents, the average estimate of analysts in a First Call survey, and was downgraded by Pacific Growth Equities.
