I know about things JLA has gotten in trouble about in the past. After a time, he goes back to doing them, or similar things. I think it is therefore fair to say that I know what he can get in trouble over, and that he does it enough that he could be subject to suspensions more often than he is. If he were getting turned in, he would be suspended more often.

On that basis, I infer that X does not make it a practice of turning him in, and therefore find her credible in her assertion that she rarely contacts "the gods".

Whatever JLA may have meant, she does not necessarily realize that he has spoken in favor of tolerance, or she may disbelieve him, so her opinion of his intention may differ. Almost everyone does something questionable, but finds what he or she does "within bounds". It has no bearing on whether she thought what he said was out of bounds.

Of course she has an animus towards JLA. That does not mean that this was consciously a pretext for getting him in trouble. It merely means that she would be even likelier, even if unconsciously, to read the material in the worst possible way. There is not much we can do about such things, and they do not amount to a mere vendetta, because they have to do with coloring perceptions, not deviousness.......
