When has Europe ever done anything that required courage? For them to blame it on Bush's personality is just another in a long list of excuses they have used to avoid doing anything difficult. If they succeed in staying Bush's hand, Saddam will be the winner and the world the loser.

Yes, there is an Opportunity Cost to our Iraq II war. While we are focussed on Iraq, N. Korea is restarting their nuclear facilities, and selling more missiles to anyone with cash, Al Queda is rebuilding their infrastructure, Hezbolah gets more rockets, Islamic Jihad builds more bombs (and we restrain the Israilis from attacking them). And, once we have done "regime change", then a large fraction of our military will be required to garrison the country, while we do many years of "nation building". Bush has been trying to subcontract out this garrison job, but so far nobody else wants the task.
