Read a fascinating piece on Asia in 1945 this Morning. Very Anti-British. Claims that the Brits thing with China was to keep it weak, as it had been before the war. They wanted to play off Chiang against the Commies. I got half way through it before I realized that it was written by a La Rouche follower. But it still has a lot of truth in it, I think.

We did split up the Japanese Empire between MacArthur and Mountbatton at the end.
