I am amazed you went out. I would have spent the morning huddled over coffee in the kitchen. Oh, one of the great pleasures of life is eating breakfast out reading the NYTimes. And not needing to cook or clean up afterward. We enjoy it so much there was a period in which we got two copies of the Times because we argued, vigorously, over who got the front section first. Now the retired one loses each and every argument about that, as in John, I don't have much time so would you, please . . . Now, how can I say, I'm so busy that I need to get through the Times right then? Barbara had done some pretty heavy lifting advising students for the first four days of the week (classes start next week), but is home today so we have time to start the day a bit slower.
