I wasn't aware the Irish had a "bad name". People used to be really prejudiced against the Irish, because they immigrated en masse, and there were problems attendant to their immigration to this country, that are attendant to any mass immigration. Did you mean to say that his behavior contributes to people's prejudices about the Irish?
