I don't disagree with you but there can be no societal consensus, i.e. an enshrined compromise for dealing with people that want to die. There can also be no sanction for those overly eager to assist. The real problem is the amount of womb to tomb intervention that we rely on today.

Silly... "That's the problem with the desert approach." Irishters don't go to the desert. They grab a vessel (Well two actually, one for holding ale and one for riding in) and head out to sea. Problem is when they sober up, they may not be dead. They may have run ashore someplace ... like, er, uh, mmm Canada, for example... sit'n on the back of an Arabian steed or somethin'. They don't even ask where the horse came from. If they are sit'n on it, it must be all right. Irish are like that y'no.
