Those great big profits will be looking attractive....>> Right on...The Military-Industrial Complex is VERY POWERFUL and they really want to go fight a war (with or without The U.N.)....The fear mentality after 9/11 has been good for the weapons and security business...our Defense Budget is at record levels --> over $400 Billion in the next 12 months...yet, many of our weapons systems will be worthless in fighting an enemy like Al Qaeda...How many subs, large ships, high tech bombers, air craft carriers, and star wars programs will stop Al Qaeda...? We DON'T need to spend more on defense (I would claim we could cut the defense budget by well over 20% and we would be better off)...We need to pay our soldiers well, train them better, and spend our defense dollars MUCH MORE INTELLIGENTLY...We still have an FBI and CIA with out dated IT systems that don't talk to each other...Does that make sense...? That's just the tip of the iceberg too.
