And if so, it shows the prez can threaten everyone with charges of treason, and snap them in line. We'll know for sure if there are no resignations over the next couple weeks.

If so, while I'm personally in complete opposition to what Bush is doing, one positive thing that can be said is that it's a strong hand that's necessary to get rid of deadwood. Too bad he's going in the wrong direction, and refuses to listen to common sense. And too bad that kind of mandate isn't used to clear out the intel apparatus. As in "only Nixon could go to China", Bush would have a unique advantage in clearing up or dismantling the complete apparatus.

Instead, we have a prez who's FP is simply focused on Rumsfeld's "all elements of national power" as a policy guideline.
