heard that this morning on NPR -- Friedman's helicopter drop -- these are the people (Dems) that believed everyone would retire with a few million and we could all be rich ... it's dumb, but at least plan B is consistent with plan A which failed miserably ... Last deal for high-speed internet equipment is the hilarious part -- give money to the one industry that failed the most to live up to expectations -- yeah, that seems democratic. <s> I'll say it again -- telcos should be making money hand over fist -- they are a declining cost industry -- their failure shows how potent a destroyer we have in the combination of government regulatory protection and much lower than market interest rates. Get with the program -- we're all still better off for having been in the 90's -- look at how many people own their own homes -- and nobody has lost ALL their retirement, except for the people who worked at ENE. Pretty small price to pay, eh?
