Wonder what Lewis will say when after President Bush does give the evidence about Iraq and the situation re WMD?

The same thing we will hear from our anti-war posters here.

"We didn't need to go to war."

"We should have kept talking."

It does not make any difference what we do. The hatred in this country by many people in the party not in power for the ruling Administration is so virulent that nothing will ever satisfy them.

Many will watch with anger if flowers are thrown by dancing crowds on our Tanks in Baghdad. It is not that they like Saddam. They just dislike Bush. That's Politics!

But it is history of a curious kind, lacking the essentials of a historian's work: context, analysis, a point of view. Woodward might well disclaim the title "historian." He has no point of view, he would say. He aims simply to tell us what happened, item by item

Well, he's a reporter, doncha know?
